LTL-obesity relationship reported in women for first time, claims study

New Delhi: A cross-sectional study conducted between 2015-2020 has found that Leucocyte Telomere Length (LTL) — a biomarker — is to obesity in prediabetic and type 2 diabetic women, linked researchers have claimed.

LTL is at its longest at birth, rapidly shortens until adolescence and then shortens at a reduced rate until old age, as per medical experts.
